I recently purchased and installed some storm windows. The reason we purchased them is that I had some very old single pane windows and they were pretty inefficient. They permitted air and dust in the house and they simply were not getting the task done. I chose storm windows because I needed an economical choice which I could install myself. What an excellent selection, they look wonderful, they were a great price for custom storm windows and the residence is a lot more efficient now. I really am so happy with my investment. If you have a comparable scenario with older single pane windows like me, get a storm window.
