Two Innovations Attributable to Gmail

There are at least two innovations in the webmail niche which are attributable to Gmail: innovations which were not there before the entry of Gmail, and innovations which would probably not be there had Gmail not come into the field.
The first of the two innovations attributable to Gmail.com is the ‘unlimited mail storage innovation.’ Before the entry of Gmail into the field, the existing webmail service providers used to dole out email storage space in a rather mean manner. With the entry of Gmail they have had to start offering unlimited storage as well.
The second of the two innovations attributable to Gmail is the ‘embedded chat client innovation.’ This makes it possible for webmail users to run real-time online chats right from their webmail accounts, without having to launch the chat client applications.
